Foam trays have multiple effects. They are made to protect food from bacteria and leakage. Foam trays protect the food as it moves from production to the consumer. Eps foam trays have small holes in the middle (vampirella). This is because it can then absorb moisture. Packaged food can stay fresh longer in this way and is not spoiled prematurely by fungi and bacteria. Because EPS trays have holes, the use of absorbent inserts is unnecessary. Sealing EPS trays is easy with plastic film such as cello. These foam trays are available in different sizes and colours.
